    I don’t understand how A can be a correct Lewis structure. The total number of valence electrons should be 16 right? (5 for each N and 1 for the negative charge). If you could the electrons involved in the bonds and the lone pairs for A, you still need 4 more electrons to complete the structure. What am I not understanding?

    I don’t think this is correct. The outer nitrogen atoms in A should have two lone pairs each.
